I’m so grateful I could tag along and document couples in the midst of everyday life this past year. Creating a visual story that shows their relationship and their lives at this time, is what engagement sessions are all about for me. These images will not only bring them back to the moment itself, but all the times they kissed in their kitchen, strolled through their neighborhood and enjoyed a drink in their favorite spot.
While selecting the images for this Best of Boston Engagement Photography of 2020, I was struck by how having someone to laugh with, talk with and hold are even more precious these days. A big congratulations to all of you on finding each other and beginning this next chapter. I can’t wait to document your very important wedding day and appreciate you being so wonderful to work with!
I ask my couples what they love to do together – whether that’s cooking at home, grabbing a coffee, taking a stroll or sharing a meal al fresco or otherwise – and that shared activity becomes the session. With the complications of the pandemic, it was cool to see how couples pivoted their dates and I enjoyed documenting these laid back evenings together so much. A big thanks to Dorchester Heights, Carson Beach, Boston Public Gardens, South End Buttery, Tatte Bakery, Charles River Esplanade, Fan Pier, Pavement Coffee House and Frenchies for accomodating us before and during the pandemic safely! I’m sure all of you can tell which sessions were before COVID arrived.
