Emily and Tyler’s Coolidge Corner Engagement Session…
Tagging along with couples and documenting the nuances of their connection and everyday life is endlessly fascinating to me. Engagement sessions give me an excuse to do just this. I always encourage couples to spend their session doing what it is they normally do together. Not only does this tell their story in the most authentic way. It allows them to get into a flow and feel totally comfortable. When this happens, not only do they have an amazing experience, but the photographs go deeper. Each time they view their images, they can revisit this stage of life – and feel it all over again. As time passes, their photographs will become more powerful. As a photographer, this is something I strongly value.
Emily and Tyler headed out of the home and walked into Coolidge Corner for their Sunday afternoon date. I joined them on their walk and documented them spending the day doing all the favorite and usual things. They visited Village Vinyl and grabbed a record. Enjoyed a coffee. Browsed the bookstore and relaxed with their finds. Strolled around until their movie began at The Coolidge and then headed in with candy in hand.
I documented their Coolidge Corner Engagement Session on film and digital to make the most beautiful and authentic record of this stage in their lives. Here are some of my favorites below.
