Boston Documentary Photographer of Real Family Life
Families are one of my favorite things to document – especially at home. There is no place more personal and comfortable to tell the story of life. I went through so so many photos to put together this Best of Family Photography blog post and found that the images that struck me most, were the ones that showed a slice of everyday life for that family. The activities, interactions, feedings, giggles, yawns, and of course, play. In the midst of the daily grind, everything can get muddled together and cause us to lose the sense of joy they bring. Taking the time to have life documented, can not only freeze these fleeting moments for us but remind us of the beauty in the chaos. That’s a powerful thing.
“Gina! These are amazing! They made us so happy and laugh when we went through them together. I’m so thankful you caught all those moments in the girls’ bedroom. That has been one of our favorite places to sit and hang out as a family which you caught all the feelings! Thanks again so much for this! Yay!! Tina”
“Hi Gina, Thank you SO much for the pictures. Ruben’s words: “these are awesome!”, and we laughed at some of them too. A few of them made me realize how big Theo has gotten (and how lucky I am that he’s still a snuggle bug). You captured so many of Bibi’s classic expressions; that little face can say so much without words. Honestly, it is hard to thank you enough for these images. All my best, Rachel”
“Thank you so much, Gina! We absolutely love how these turned out. You captured our home life to a t and we’re so thankful to have these photos as mementos of such a special time in our family’s life. I love so many of them, and I can’t wait to display a few of them around the house. I’m probably going to need to put the rest of them in an album so I can pour over them to no end. Thanks again! Laura, Jon & Oliver”
