I will have your photographs ready for you within eight weeks after your wedding.
How many images will I get?
You will receive a minimum of 50 photographs for each hour of coverage.
Do you work with an assistant?
Photography is very intuitive for me and carrying my own gear is a great way to ensure I don’t miss a beat! I also find I can blend in and be less obtrusive on my own. Depending on your wedding it may be beneficial to have a second photographer and if so, I can, of course, provide this for you.
What is your background in photography?
I began taking pictures with my mom’s manual camera when I was 15. It became a passion and I continued to study photography at the Maryland Institute College of Art and later the University of Wales, Newport where I received my Masters in Documentary Photography. I always explored the interactions and connections between people in my work and developed many projects which were exhibited, awarded and published. When a good friend of mine asked me to photograph a wedding with her, I was immediately drawn in by the various situations and stories unfolding. I began my business shortly after and never looked back. I have now photographed over 200 weddings and am still just as passionate as when I started.
Do you take posed photos?
I take special care in creating relaxed formal photographs of you and your families. I understand the importance of these photographs and like to use the best natural light for flattering portraits that will stand the test of time.
For your wedding portraits, I like to create a space where the two of you can be together and reflect on the day. I won’t be manufacturing moments and know when to step back and when to step in. You’ll be left with portraits that show the real connections that are uniquely yours.
How do you prepare before shooting a wedding?
I will always visit your venue before your wedding to ensure that I am familiar with the light and settings inside and out. I will also chat with you to discuss your priorities and finalize all the details so you have nothing to worry about.
Do you photograph same sex marriages?
Do you have a replacement photographer for emergencies?
Should a personal emergency or illness arise on the day of your wedding, I guarantee a professional photographer of similar style and approach would fill in for me. Fortunately, I have never required a replacement and I will always do everything in my power to be the photographer for your big day!
Do you have backup equipment?
I sure do! I have two of everything and always have them on hand!
What is your goal on my wedding day?
I want to tell your story in an authentic and beautiful way.
I want my photographs to surprise you, amaze you and allow you relive your day over and over.
I want to capture all the emotions, interactions and connections between you and your loved ones.
I want to do everything I can to make your day more enjoyable – for you and your guests.
What do you include in your engagement sessions?
Mini Engagement sessions include 45 minutes of coverage in one location of your choice. Full Engagement sessions include 90 minutes of coverage in two locations of your choice and love story session include two hours of coverage in multiple locations. You will also receive a collection of edited, high-resolution photographs with print release on a beautiful online gallery.
How long does it take for us to receive our engagement session images?
I will have your photographs ready for you within four weeks after your engagement session.
What should I wear for my engagement session?
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in!
Where should we go for our engagement session?
I really enjoy meeting up with couples and documenting their relationship as they spend time together, doing what they love. Whether it’s hanging out in your first home, going for a hike, catching a flick, grabbing a drink, cooking a meal or walking the dog – these everyday moments are my favorite to photograph as they show who you are, right now. I don’t manufacture moments and know when to step back and when to step in. After the session is complete, you’ll be left with a beautiful collection of honest photographs that tell your story and show your strong connection.
We'd love to hire you for our event, Bar/Bat Mitzvah or family party. Will you work with us?
Of course! I love documenting all types of occasions and would love to hear what you have in mind. Contact me for details and let’s see if we can find something to fit your needs and expectations.
