Photography is very intuitive for me and carrying my own gear is a great way to ensure I don’t miss a beat! I also find I can blend in and be less obtrusive on my own. Depending on your wedding it may be beneficial to have a second photographer and if so, I can of course provide this for you.
I began taking photographs with my mom’s manual Pentax camera when I was fifteen. I fell in love with it and continued to study photography at the Maryland Institute College of Art. During this time I began documenting interactions and relationship between people and couldn’t get enough. I went on to do my Masters in Documentary Photography at the University of Wales and developed many personal projects which were exhibited, awarded and published. When a good friend of mine asked me to photograph a wedding with her, I immediately fell in love with the job and have never looked back! I have now photographed nearly two hundred weddings and am still just as passionate and excited about creating authentic photographs for couples on their very special day.
I take special care in creating relaxed formal photographs of you and your families. I understand the importance of these photographs and like to use the best natural light for flattering portraits that will stand the test of time. I believe that getting your photograph taken should be enjoyable, not painful, and will be friendly and efficient so everyone can have a nice time.

For your wedding portraits, I give you two some time alone to reflect on the day. I won’t be manufacturing moments and know when to step back and when to step in. You’ll be left with portraits that show the real connections that are uniquely yours.

I will always visit your venue before your wedding to ensure that I am familiar with the light and settings inside and out. I will also chat with you to discuss your priorities and finalize all the details so you have nothing to worry about.
Should a personal emergency or illness arise on the day of your wedding, I guarantee a professional photographer of similar style and approach would fill in for me. Fortunately, I have never required a replacement and I will always do everything in my power to be the photographer for your big day!
I sure do! I have two of everything and always have them on hand!

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in!
I really enjoy meeting up with couples and documenting their relationship as they spend time together, doing what they love. Whether it’s hanging out in your first home, going for a hike, catching a flick, grabbing a drink, cooking a meal or walking the dog – these everyday moments are my favorite to photograph as they show who you are, right now. I don’t manufacture moments and know when to step back and when to step in. After the session is complete, you’ll be left with a beautiful collection of honest photographs that tell your story and show your strong connection.
Of course! I love documenting all types of occasions and would love to hear what you have in mind. Contact me for details and let’s see if we can find something to fit your needs and expectations.
